Word to the GMs though, save your scenario blurb ( such as the excellent Ferg one above, awesome job mate, hilarious Laughing ) as Elaine's HD will traditonally crash about June time, sodden in a celebratory magnum of Pimms, losing eveything you have offered. |
Paul! My poor computer died a sudden death last night. We're gonna have words, you and I!
(as it happens, it's only a power cord/battery issue and hasn't affected any files, but STILL. You hold your tongue in future!) _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |

I see that "the eternal convention" (Tentacles under another name) is quite soon (21st).
http://www.eternal-con.de/node/24
So, being a much bigger do than little Furnace, it'll have far more games, right?
It has 13. No, not 13 per slot. 13, all weekend.
I'll stick to Furnace! |

It seems a bit light on the table topping, perhaps because it is self service and people aren't commiting to their games up front?
I have to say the price is amazing for a few nights in a castle by the Rhine. I think I'd be off exploring and taking in the scenery rather than gaming. Is it all dormitaries there? Any double roms?! _________________ First Age

Well, I'm not going that far on the basis that there *might* be some games, even if I had the cash this year.
All dorms as far as I remember, though a few are 2-person (1 set of bunk beds, not "double"). Yes, the scenery is amazing, as is the local town. I'm a bit "been there, done that", myself, but if you haven't got to that stage, it's a good centre for a holiday in the area. You can hire a car from the airport. |

"Pop at"? I'm saying that Furnace is wonderful, and the amount of games here is amazing. What's non-positive about that? |

This is all going down in a newly acquired little black journal
Meanwhile I hope your journeys on the -5 Cursed Train of Berserking continue forever... |

I'm battening down the brainhatches against the possibility of a scenario somewhat different from that which I originally suggested. |

Woah, this thread is a twisty turny journy isn't it? Allow me to try and find the deer track it was originally following...
Not entirely sure on what to offer this time round. Seems like Grumpy Bear Gow is going to have the Empire system covered off, so no need to try that out...
Savage? Go on then. I'll probably have a Tight Purse Harvey as per, and also something like a Savage Earthdawn as I fancy some fantasy action. If Space 1889 comes out at GenCon as planned, there's every chance I'll give that a bash.
But then I've got 47 other games I wouldn't mind giving a go too...!
Maybe I need Continuum out of the way first?

Okay- time to commit myself to one of the two Furnace games I plan to run.
GM Name: Paul Mitchener
System: Wild Talents (Blood of the Gods)
Title: Scary Monsters
Description: Blood of the Gods is a supplement for Wild Talents set in Ancient Greece, where the player characters are descendants of the gods themselves with powers beyond those of mortal men.
Anyway, the player characters are contacted by a messenger from the city of Miletus. It seems that the city is being threatened by a Chimera, and needs the help of heroes. But things get rapidly more complicated and political than they first appear.
Preferred Slots: Whatever.
Number of Players: 4-6.
