Due to unforeseen circumstances, we've had 3 more game slots open up. They are:
Saturday morning (a 3 hr slot) - FILLED
Saturday afternoon (a 4 hr slot)
Sunday morning (a 3 hr slot)
If anyone would like to run a game in these slots, please let me know. _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |

I'll be offering a different Unknown Armies scenario than the one advertised to date.
I'm convinced that there is a great UA game to be had using the weird and wonderful life of Louis Wain as inspiration. I'm also convinced that what I've written so far isn't it. Maybe it will come together someday.
Anyway, my replacement UA offering for furnace is going to be Lamp Posts in Bloom. I hope there are still a few UA fans going to Furnace who haven't played it already! The pitch is:
A warm summer evening in middle England.
Four old friends gather for a barbecue and drinks.
Secrets will be uncovered.
Betrayals will be laid bare.
Innocent people will die.
And the lamp posts will come into bloom
For five players. Adults only. |

My Wordplay scenario on Sunday afternoon will be a replay of last year's classic. Sword and sorcery hokum in Conan's world using a scenario adapted from Mongoose Publishing.
The Black Stones of Kovag Re
Sword and Sorcery in Conan's Hyborea
A Mongoose scenario run using Wordplay
By the gods, what a night! True, you had little enough coin left after your most recent exploits but you cannot take your wealth with you and who knows what tomorrow might bring? Better then to spend the last of it in fine style in a wine-shop and what finer place exists in Arenjun, the renowned City of Thieves in ancient Zamoria, than Malvolio's tavern? There had been good food, lusty dancers, wagering, brawling and many, many flagons, until each of you had stumbled into a corner to sleep, or just sank to the ground where you stood.
Sadly, the cold light of dawn brings with it more than just a pounding in your skull. A soaking from a bucket of cold water washes away the encrusted drool and brings you to your senses, eyes struggling open to see the unwelcome sight of a watch sergeant leaning easily on a bill. 'Get up, scum! You've got an appointment with the Governor!' the sergeant sneers. _________________ First Age

Sadly due to an unexpected large bill, I'm having to wind my neck in and only come on the Saturday for the day.
To that end, I shall only be running Paranoia and Pendragon in slots 1 and 2. |

The (more-or-less) final games programme and timetable are now available for download from the Furnace website at http://www.rpgfurnace.com/games.
As you'll notice, there are two timetable slots that need to be filled - Saturday evening and Sunday morning - following some last minute changes. If anyone can offer a game in these slots, please get in touch _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |

Thinking.
EDIT, Sun: Thinking of running Jaws of the Six Serpents on Sunday, if this Hanrahan scenario I've found is as good as it looks on first glance. Other contenders are Albion, Questers and Truth & Justice. So anyone with a strong preference should shout up in the next few hours! |

Slot 4 is now filled with the following game:
Curse of the Yellow Sign: Digging for a Dead God
Call of Cthulhu
We still have the Saturday evening game slot up for grabs. _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |

For what it's worth, I'm interested in both Albion and Jaws of the Six Serpents. _________________ Paul Mitchener

Ok all, the timetable is once again full, and with a bit of luck there'll be no changes between now and Friday! You can see the full list of games by downloading the timetable from the website.

Playtested my game last night with my regular group. It lasted 6 hours. I have a three hour slot.
Some heavy trimming is required, I fear.
Mind you they did spend over 45 minutes discussing whether to cook a parrot... |

Be ruthless!
Saying that though, playtesting usually takes longer if you're running it with your regular group because of the general banter you have. _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |

Mmm. In my Furnace virginity and general ignorance I thought that all of the slots were 4 hours long. Doh! As such, in the games I'm running even the merest suggestion of banter will be crushed, never fear
This is a tad off topic, but how does one win the coveted "Golden Tuning Fork" from your sig Elaine? I desire one.
Cheers

Heh, that's a kind of board joke I ran a game of Monsters+ on Sunday morning last year that got very noisy when Sue's char scweamed and scweamed and scweamed. Paul, who was in a game on the next table down, joked on the boards that I won the Golden Tuning Fork award for noisiest game. I liked it, so adopted it for my sig.
Quick search reveals:

Elaine's Monsters and Childish Things game outdone me as somebody had a screaming fit Added to this, I was also impersonating the 'infected' from time to time, so I definitely added to the level. I could also hear the noise from John's Cthulhu Rising game, so I did wonder how Table 2 was coping with the noise level, however they get my Furnace Golden Tuning Fork for noise level overall |
EDIT PS: It's only the morning games that are 3 hours long, the others are 4 hours. _________________ Furnace Games Tsar |
