Hi all
Just a quick post to tell you about an upcoming series of Adventure supplements D101 is going to be putting out to support Worplay entitled
"Adventures in Wordplay"
Volume 1 has a Post Apocalypse theme and will be out early October, in time for Furnace
"Drowned Lands" A Modern Post Apocalytic adventure with strong nods to British classics of the genre by Paul Mitchener. A sandbox adventure set in around a near future Southampton.
"Dead Pot Country" A Fantasy Post-apocalypse adventure by Newt Newport. One of the adventures from the upcoming Life and Death book for OpenQuest converted to Wordplay along with a mini-theme for the Shattered Lands setting.
"The Devil's Highway" Post Apocalypse done Mad Max/Car Wars style by Newt Newport. Play larger than life Anarchistic drivers as they navigate Hell's own highway, populated by sadistic gangs and Zombies, in suped up cars with armour, mini-guns and rocket launchers.
Each adventure will comes with pre-gens so you can pick up and play.
Volume 2 will be early 2011, and see adventures for the themes in Wordplay: The Big Five. Lined up so far
"Ghouls Night out" for Keep Portland Weird, by Charles Green.
"Code Red" for Infinite War by Newt Newport _________________ Toodle pip!

Ooooh! Just what I need to give me some Wordplay pointers. But... October! Not sure I'll be able to cope.

It will be Singularities, which is the SF theme I'm working on. Not fully decided the adventure yet... _________________ "We live in a nuclear powered universe. We're the oddballs by getting energy from burning carbon."

Umm... You're up against a game of Cthulhu being run by RKM, so it may be a close call.
Of course, it will all depend which one I can get my name down for.
I suppose we ought to get this thread back on track.

Well work faster dammit! A PDF will do just fine.

Now that could result in violence.

If I can pre-order the PDF, then yes. Am doing away with a lot of my physical rpg stuff, just don't have the space, so physical purchases are becoming few and far between.

I've not done a pdf-preorder before, but it does make sense to since more and more people are going PDF only (something I'm conisdering myself), so I think this can be arranged
You should also be getting an adventure for WPB5 sooner than Oct, within the next month or so, since I'm converting the Road Less Travelled from OpenQuest to Wordplay. As well as the straight stats conversion - I'll be adding highlight boxes of how to run it under Wordplay. I'll making it available as a freebie, and if time allows intergrating it into the main rulebook. _________________ Toodle pip!

Sweet. Well- I had to say something on this thread. But I do like the idea of a post-apocalypse volume. _________________ Paul Mitchener
