Some more details on my 'indie game' for Sunday Morning (assuming the playtest shows that it will run in the slot). This follows in the tradition of Conspiracy of Shadows Blood Opera, CoS: the Fall of House Atreides and Wilderness of Mirrors with a narrative co-creating game with high player input.

The game is "A Taste for Murder", Graham Walmsley's new narrative RPG of Agatha Christie and Wodehouse style murder in the English countryside.

GM Name: Dom Mooney
System: A Taste for Murder
Title: A Taste for Murder
Description: The 1930s. A family in turmoil. A weekend get together at the country house. Murder most foul. An Inspector Calls.

Preferred Slots: Sunday Morning
Number of Players: 4-6.

Hey, Dom - I got my preorder of A Taste for Murder at the weekend, and Graham said he wouldn't be at Furnace (so no chutney for me) but that somebody would be running it - I guess that would be you! Having read the game pdf, I can vouch for its sounding awesome.

Again, I've emailed these to Elaine already, but there's no harm in putting them here for public consumption:

1. GM Name: Guy Milner
2. System: Mouse Guard
3. Title: The Weasel War
4. Description: The weasels have invaded the mouse territories, and Dorigift, Sprucetuck and Gilpledge have already fallen to them! Now, a desperate team of mice from the fearless Mouse Guard have been sent out on a desperate mission to delay the weasels long enough for the mice to muster an army and repel them. But can the patrol overcome their own differences to save the territories?
5. No. of players: 5
6. Slot – Sat am
7. Any other information (optional): Mouse Guard is a simplified version of Luke Crane's Burning Wheel system, and allows for players to explore their characters' beliefs and instincts through a conflict-based system. Don't be put off by the idea of playing talking mice - your characters will face very dark and human problems in the course of their mission.

1. GM Name: Guy Milner
2. System: Eclipse Phase
3. Title: Martian Manhunt
4. Description: You have come to the fading settlement of Olympus, a ghost town in the caldera of Olympus Mons, to find two scientists whose particular fields of interest could hold the key to restoring life on Earth - or destroy it across the solar system. Not all is what it seems in the half-empty city, and the ghosts of past mistakes will haunt you at every turn.
5. No. of players: 5
6. Slot - Sun pm
7. Any other information (optional): Eclipse Phase is a D100-based game of post-apocalyptic transhuman conspiracy and horror. Your characters are operatives of Firewall, an organisation tasked with tackling existential threats to humanity.

Version 2 of the timetable, now colour coded for your convenience, available at http://db.tt/pHRdR8!

Pink cells are free slots - only 4 left, GMs!

Green cells are games where I have all the details and descriptions, which can be found here: http://db.tt/K6ZgtS

White cells are games submitted where I don't have all the details yet.

Gonna bite the bullet and do a one off...

Thinking of doing a nice spooky Ravenloft game with Savage Worlds system.

I'll send a description later this week so you have something to write up. Please put my name down so that I can book a slot.

Neil 'captain machine' Shaw

P.S. Also thinking of Deathwatch if it is released in time but I think that given the time frame it would make a better backup game if there are any issues of GMs not being able to attend.

Here we go, my entry this year.

1. GM Name: Neil Shaw
2. System: Savage Worlds
3. Title: Ravenloft: Curse of the Black Coach
4. Description: In the Mist covered lands there are many legends whispers around the camp fire. One such tale says that those who see the dreaded Black Coach pulled by steeds straight from Hell are doom to die; some say at the hands of the owner.
A classic fantasy gothic horror adventure set in the lands of the Mist.
5. No. of players: 4-6
6. Slot - Any (prefer a 4 hour slot)

Let me know if this is ok.

Think I might have to update my Lacuna game's Description following my last trip to the cinema:
rain wrote:
Best described as a twisted hybrid of The Matrix, The Cell and Inception, in Lacuna the player characters are Mystery Agents, who 'dive' into Blue City - a surreal manifestation of the shared human consciousness - to track down and destroy Hostile Personalities.

Looks like Chris Nolan's shilling for Jared Sorensen. Smile

I've changed the description slightly of my first Furnace game as it read rather oddly. I also now have a second one.
They are:

GM Name: Paul Mitchener
System: Wild Talents: Blood of the Gods
Title: Scary Monsters
Description:
Ancient Greece. The city of Miletus in Asia Minor is being threatened by a Chimera. It needs the help of heroes- preferably heroes such as the player characters, descendants of the gods themsleves, with more than mortal talents granted by their divine ancestry.

However, things rapidly get more complicated and political then they first appear.

Preferred Slots: Whatever.
Number of Players: 4-6.

Tags: Ancient Greece, Superheroes

GM Name: Paul Mitchener
System: Wild Talents: The Kerberos Club
Title: Wonders and terrors
Description:
London, 1851. Strange forces- faerie, magic, and the more bizarre inventions of science, are everywhere, and barely secret. The infamous Kerberos Club is both a shelter for those touched by the Strangeness, and is at the same time dedicated to protecting Queen and Country from the threats offered by the Strange.

It is the time of the Great Exhibition, held in the newly built Crystal Palace. The heroes of the Kerberos Club have received complimentary tickets for the opening day. All manner of exotic curiosities and wonders are on display, and visitors have come from far and wide.

Then events occur requiring the intervention of the heroes, and their peculiar talents.

Preferred Slots: Whatever.
Number of Players: 4-6.

I hope to get these in!

Title: Public Enemies goes CoC
By Glyn White
System: Call of Cthulhu (1930s)
Number of players: 3-7
Wilbur, Herman and Arthur Lloyd form the core of a gang of bank robbers roaming the Mid-west who have vowed never to be taken alive. The gang includes female accomplices or gun molls. While robbing a bank in Mason City, Iowa, the gang took $120,000, but Wilbur was badly wounded. The others had to leave him with a gangland doctor while they hid out in the country. Since Herman and Arthur won’t allow the split to take place until they have Wilbur back tensions are running high.
When running: Saturday Morning

Title: Prague 1771
By Glyn White
System: Call of Cthulhu (Colonial Era Cthulhu)
Number of players: 4-6
Synopsis: The trail of the conspiracy has led your group to Bohemia, deep in the Hapsburg Empire, where a fleeing sorcerer hopes to hide from the destruction you have visited on his allies. Only this time you are far from home, far from help, in a strange ghost-ridden foreign city where no one understands you.
When running: Sunday Morning

Best, malcojones

Glyn, the timetable is full, but if I could hold yours in reserve, that would be great - I may need them if there's last minute drop-outs.

mid-August update

I've posted the latest version of the timetable on the Furnace website at http://www.rpgfurnace.com/games. As you can see, I'm still waiting for game details from some people. For those of you who haven't checked the timetable, here's the info I need:

G2 (Smart Party) - game descriptions and number of players for slots 1 and 5
Simon Beaver - game descriptions for slots 1 and 3
Scott Dorward - game descriptions and number of players for slots 1, 3 and 5
Dom Mooney - game descriptions and number of players for slots 2 and 3
Graham Spearing - game description and number of players for slot 2
Andrew Kenrick / CE - game descriptions and number of players for slots 2 and 4
Neil Gow - game description and number of players for slot 5
Mik Reed - game description and number of players for slot 3
Tim Gray - game description and number of players for slot 4

I'll only be opening pre-bookings for GMs when I have all the game descriptions, so as quick as you can, please. Furnace is now only 7 weeks away and I want the timetable finalised no later than 1 month before the con - so deadline of Friday 10th September.

That's fine, Elaine, do hold them in reserve, and I'll bring them anyway. Lots of playing for me!

Still waiting on game details. If you haven't done so already, please get these to me ASAP.

I'm also looking for 1 extra game in slots 2, 3 and 5. Anyone interested?
