Maybe they could keep these in the universal fridge behind the bar where the milk is now going to be stored ?

Given the heat of the rooms, I fear this is a non-starter. Even if they dipped them in liquid nitrogen in the committee rooms, by the time they reached your room the chocolate would be dribbling through the fingers of the delivery monitor and leaving sticky brown stains on your bedding... |

Actually, chocolate on the pillows would be a great way to enforce the 2 o' clock rule. If the someone distributed the chocolates to the room about quarter to 2, they'd be starting to melt by 2 o'clock. Anybody who isn't in his room shortly afterwards can sleep on a gooey pillow for the rest of the con and has to pay the cleaning bill for the pillow case.
At any rate, it would be easier to have chocolates than to have drinkable coffee all day. |

How about we just get the vending machines filled with coffee-flavoured chocolates? That way you can get your pillow condiment and your caffeine fix all in one go.
Personally I think we should have one of the Gopher team perpetually doing the rounds of all the rooms, kitchens and gaming tables to take coffee/team/double-double/latte/cappucino/frappe/etc, etc and doing a Starbucks run once per hour.
BTW, if people think they have a serious coffee habit in the UK, you should see the coffee queues at Starbucks and Tim Hortons here in Canada. Its a national addiction. _________________ One day I feel I'm ahead of the wheel

They've solved that problem in Seattle... there's a Starbucks on every corner!

There's a Tim Hortons every few paces here. And they always have massive queues.
Their tea biscuits (scones, to us imperialists) are very good and great value at 50 cents... _________________ One day I feel I'm ahead of the wheel

Perhaps someone should write a LARP somewhat like "dinnerladies". Then the participants could not only do their RP stuff, they could at the same time come round with trolleys with tea, coffee and cakes on for the rest of us. |

Too right, we have loads of Timmys in the fridge, and get a relief parcel every year from the rellies ever since going out there a decade ago. Marvellous |

That brings back happy memories of Scotscon, where the gophers took bar orders and meal orders, for delivery to the gaming table. Amazing bunch of people, mostly local students as I recall. |
