Tom Zunder was born 1965 in Croydon and was brought up in Hull where he attended Bricknell Primary and Junior schools as well as Kelvin Hall Senior High. He read Economic and Social History as his first degree. Much of his time at University was spent playing roleplaying games such as RuneQuest, Chivalry and Sorcery, Traveller and others. On graduating he foiled expectations by getting a real job in the steel industry, starting with British Steel as a commercial graduate trainee at Shepcote Lane, Sheffield. Starting in Sales and Marketing his career has progressively incorporated the functions and skills of Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management and Information and Communication Technology. As part of his career he qualified at Cranfield University with a MSc in Distribution and Logistics in 1999. In 2002 he joined the University of Sheffield as a Senior Research Associate and in 2004 moved to the University of Newcastle in the same role. Married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Tom likes to play roleplaying games, take photographs on his Leica (and other cameras) and to dabble endlessly with computers. He has a long standing interest in satellite TV and home cinema, but doesn't intend to be an early adopter with Blu-Ray and High Definition as he was with DVD and Dolby Digital.

On an IS/IT level Ann has been involved in the design, specification, project management and implementation of IS/IT solutions, including various commercial order handling systems. Since 2002, Ann has been able to take her hands-on line management experience into the arena of Business Change, being an architect and leader of a business wide programme of world-class manufacturing, based on Lean Manufacturing principles. Developing the Lean transformation from both the ‘softer’ leadership and the ‘harder’ process improvement standpoints has allowed Ann to help transform the Sales and Marketing function into a customer orientated, value stream driven organisation ‘pulling’ change by continuous improvement throughout all functions of the business toward a clearly developed and coherent vision. Ann wants to use her leadership and coaching skills to bring about sustained business change through process improvement in a manufacturing environment. [Curriculum Vitae]
